Scandic No. 25

Chose for proximity to Central Station. Not the most scenic location but not an issue. Tge area isn’t ‘sketchy’ Lovely friendly & efficient welcome upon check in. We had booked a King room which was spacious - although the ‘space’ was just randomly at the side of the bed - felt as though something was missing/had been removed from the room (indeed the skirting was missing and taped over). Storage ok; beds comfy, on the softer side; TV with English language channels. A couple of fans were available but windows could be opened too. The small bathroom was adequate and comp. handwash, shower gel/shampoo combo & conditioner were welcome. What I wasn’t keen on was the full length mirror on the inside of the bathroom door. VERY off putting when you’re using the loo. It needs that mirror in the room itself as there isn’t one. Good lighting. We did hit the jackpot with our 4th floor room - two windows with a complete view of a solid wall and right by the (squeaky) lift. Guess someone has to get these rooms (why always us 😂) Didn’t experience noise otherwise. Room cleaning/replacement towels upon request from reception but they do come in to empty bins/refresh toilet paper. We found a second set of towels in the wardrobe. Room could do with a little decor refresh but no biggie. Breakfast was really nice and varied options. You do have to choose a time up front which I’m not keen on but noone seemed to check on the days so I supposes people turned up whenever. We left very early for our return flight and they provided a breakfast bag to take with us. The reception/lounge area was very welcoming and cosy. We’d stay here again.

Nice location, right next to the train station, which is ideal if you're travelling by train. It's also very close to the Ullevi stadium if you're attending an event there. Small supermarket round the corner, and plenty of food outlets nearby. There are tram stations close by, jump on and explore this beautiful city. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Rooms are soundproof so there's no noise from the trains. WiFi works very well. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Overall a good choice of hotel for visiting Gothenburg.

Great location, 8min walk to the central train and bus station, so very handy to get to and from the airport. The staff were lovely and lent me an electric kettle for my stay. The TV had English and Swedish channels. The room and bathroom were a good size, not big but definitely not small. Good water pressure and hot temperature and clean.

OMG the breakfast is incredible, so many choices! Highly recommend the pancakes! All the staff is super nice, friendly, helpful and welcoming! I was also lucky to have a super sunny and warm weather so I got to enjoy my stay in Gotherburg fully. Also the have a really good small supermarket just around the corner, train station is a 5ish minutes walks and the location is actually perfect in my opinion.

Amazing breakfast with endless options. Great quality of eggs, bacon, bread, coffee, ... We were in a room at the opposite side of the train tracks and we did not hear any trains in the room.
